What are the overview of metal materials?

September 26th at 11:03am

ferrous metal
Black metal, also known as steel material, includes:
Industrial pure iron: with a total impurity content of less than 0.2% and a carbon content not exceeding 0.0218%.
Steel: carbon content ranging from 0.0218% to 2.11%.
Cast iron: carbon content greater than 2.11%. Broadly speaking, black metals also include chromium, manganese, and their alloys.

Nonferrous metals
Nonferrous metals refer to all metals and their alloys except for iron, chromium, and manganese, and are usually divided into:
Light metals such as aluminum, magnesium, etc.
Heavy metals: such as copper, lead, etc.
Precious metals: such as gold, silver, etc.
Semimetals: such as silicon, boron, etc.
Rare metals such as zirconium, molybdenum, etc.
Rare earth metals: such as neodymium, praseodymium, etc.

Special metals
Special metal materials include:
Amorphous metal materials obtained through rapid condensation process.
Quasi crystalline, microcrystalline, and nanocrystalline metal materials.
Alloy with special functions such as invisibility, hydrogen resistance, superconductivity, shape memory, wear resistance, vibration damping, etc.
Metal based composite materials.
